Days 1

Airport / Anuradhapura

Upon arrival, meet your representative and transfer to Anuradhapura. Explore the sacred Sri Maha Bodhiya, Ruwanweliseya, Thuparamaya, Lovamahapaya, Abhayagiriya, Jetavanaramaya, Mirisavetiya, and Lankaramaya. Overnight stay at a hotel in Anuradhapura.
After breakfast, transfer to Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's second capital from 1017 A.D. to 1235 A.D. Visit UNESCO-listed ruins including the Royal Palace, Audience Hall, Watadage, Galpotha, and Parakrama Samudraya, a massive reservoir built by King Parakramabahu I. Explore the elegant Lotus Pond built in the 12th century. Dinner and overnight stay at Habarana.
